GARRETT POPCORN SHOPS ANNOUNCES 7TH CHICAGOLAND LOCATION NOW OPEN AT MERCHANDISE MART
CHICAGO (June 11, 2009)—Garrett Popcorn Shops, celebrating its 60th year as an iconic brand, announces the opening of its 7th Chicagoland location today at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart on the Second Level Food Court, next to the CTA’s elevated train platform.
Merchandise Mart area workers, residents, customers and conventioneers will now be able to enjoy Garrett Popcorn at this convenient location. “We wanted a store north of the River to provide Garrett’s loyal customers easy access to the product via a transportation hub like the Merchandise Mart,” says Garrett Popcorn Senior Vice President Jack Aiello. The Mart’s multi-line platform services the Brown and Purple lines used by commuters traveling to and from the city’s North Side as well as the North Shore suburbs.
The Shop’s location in the Merchandise Mart’s Second Level Food Court offers customers the same convenience Garrett Popcorn offers at their Ogilvie Transportation Center location.
Garrett Popcorn Shops currently has stores in Chicago at 4 East Madison St., 2 West Jackson St., 26 West Randolph St.; two at O’Hare International Airport, in Terminals 1 and 3; and in the Northwestern Station/Ogilvie Transportation Center at 500 W.
